President - Richard B. Moyle

Hello, I am Richard Moyle and I am the Director of Payroll Operations at Drexel University.  I have been with the University since early 2002.  We have a large in-house payroll processing operation that involves many unusual payroll circumstances typically encountered in higher education, such as student employees, non-resident alien tax withholding and tuition reduction benefits. 

I have been employed in the payroll profession since 1996 and prior to my time at Drexel I worked for both service and manufacturing companies in the healthcare, telecommunications and publishing industries.

I have been a member of the Southeastern PA chapter of the APA since 2000 and during that time I have participated in many SEPA events.  These include the quarterly dinner meetings; the CPP study group hosted by Drexel in 2004 and National Public Lands Day at Valley Forge National Park every year since 2004.   As a past chairman of the Community Outreach committee, I have had the pleasure to be involved in some very successful programs such as the donation school supplies for homeless children and the donation of used cell phones for victims of domestic abuse.

Vice President - Sharon Vernot

Hello, my name is Sharon Vernot, CPP, your Vice President of the Southeastern PA Chapter of the APA.  In 1988 I joined the SEPA chapter and became a National APA member.  Currently I am employed as a  Senior Manger, Compensation and Benefits at InterDigital Communications LLC.  My employment with InterDigital began in September 1997.  My job responsibilities at InterDigital include overseeing our payroll processing, providing all voluntary and involuntary benefits for our employees and accounting for both payroll and benefit expense for our US and Canadian sites.  Besides working in Payroll and Benefits, I have worked in various areas of Accounting/Finance. 

 

My payroll experience began in early 1979, so 30 years ago.  In 1997 I passed the CPP exam.

Hi, I am Jennifer Conner, CPP.  Currently, I hold the position of Asst Payroll Manager at Sovereign Bank working in Wyomissing, PA.   I have been in this role for the last 8 years, however, my payroll experience stretches back more than 13 years.  Besides the financial industry, I have been involved in payroll processing in both the healthcare and food industries, as well.

I have been an APA member since 2002, became a SEPA member and obtained my CPP in 2004, and most recently, was a CPP Moderator for the 2008 summer session.

Hello, I’m Debi Snyder, CPP and Treasurer of the Southeastern PA Chapter of the APA.  I’ve been a member of SEPA and the APA for several years, and took over as SEPA’s Treasurer in 2009. I’m currently employed as a Payroll Manager at Advanta and have been in the payroll profession for over 19 years. In addition to Payroll, I’ve worked in Accounting as an Internal Auditor and have an Accounting degree from St. Joseph’s University.   

I previously served on the Hospitality Committee and as the Election Chairperson and assisted with the chapter newsletter.

I look forward to working with the other Officers to continue SEPA’s mission of providing our members with the tools to meet the challenges of a payroll career and the promotion of the payroll profession.
