The HIRE Act

 

 

Bill Mealy, Senior Stakeholder Liaison for the IRS, will be joining us again to fill us in on the provisions of the Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment Act.

 

This act, signed into law on March 18th by President Obama, provides employers with a partial exemption from Social Security taxes for every qualified employee hired in 2010 who has been unemployed for at least 60 days.

 

How do employers identify eligible employees? What are the employer's documentation requirements? How to employers claim the credit or opt out?

 

Come join us on May 12th and get the latest information on this tax credit!
