Community Outreach

For November meeting we are taking monetary donations for the Gary Sinise Foundation who supports our veterans. Specifically, donations for the Snowball Express. The Snowball Express is a 4 day experience for families of our nations fallen military heroes in Walt Disney World. (previously an annual get together in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area) December was chosen for this experience as December is the most difficult time for these families.

Families from across the US, including the Philadelphia area, will travel to Walt Disney World and it gives them "a break from reality" and they so deserve "a little magic"

"These families will have an opportunity to bond with the only people who can truly understand their loss: one another. By building a strong community, these children and surviving spouses form friendships that can last a lifetime. And this year, we’re bringing the program’s many wonderful traditions along to Disney with a few new friends and surprises!

This annual experience serves as a reminder that our country will never forget our fallen heroes and the thousands of military families left behind."

At the meeting, there will be Information that you can pick up and take with you regarding the Gary Sinise Foundation's many programs for veterans and their families.
