Presentation by: Alice P. Jacobsohn, Esq.

Director, Government Relations PayrollOrg


As Director of Government Relations for PayrollOrg, Alice Jacobsohn is an experienced advocate building bridges between payroll professionals and government legislative and regulatory entities. She has over 40 years of success in high profile policy, regulation, and advocacy roles.

Prior to PayrollOrg, Jacobsohn worked for 17 years as a director at the National Waste and Recycling Association developing and implementing educational programs and public relations strategies, managing state chapters and policy-making groups, and lobbying and educating decision-makers. She was a program manager at SEMCOR Inc. advising the U.S. military and private-sector customers on compliance, a staff attorney for a commissioner at the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, and legislative assistant to a Pennsylvania state senator. She is a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of:

  • Insights into new deductions for qualified overtime and tips, including eligibility criteria and phase-out limits.
  • Learn how the OBBBA will affect year-end processing and changes required for 2026.

We will be holding elections for the Board positions of Vice President and Secretary at the November meeting.

Donations of non-perishable food items for use in Manna’s Kitchen (soup kitchen) and Manna’s Market (food pantry). Listed below are some suggestions of their most immediate needs.

  • Tomato Sauce (for pasta)
  • Long Pasta (spaghetti, linguine, etc.)
  • Canned Tuna
  • Short Pasta (penne, elbow, etc.)
  • Cereals – Healthy and Sugar
  • Applesauce (both sweetened or unsweetened)
  • Sugar, Baking Powder, Baking Soda
  • Soups – Bean, Seafood, Tomato
  • Granola Bars
  • Asian Noodles (Ramen, etc.)
  • Rice Sides (Rice A Roni, Knorr products, etc.)
  • Dried Fruit
  • Pasta Sides (Chef Boyardee, Knorr products, etc.)
  • 100% Fruit Juices
  • Canned Meats (especially Spam)
  • Peanut Butter
  • Condiments (ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard)
  • Tomato Products (diced, crushed, whole, paste, etc.)
  • Hygiene Products (Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc.)
