SEPA Presents:
Unemployment Compensation Law Changes
Presented by:
Hilton Hill
PA Department of Labor & Industry
Act 6 enacted in 2011, Act 60 enacted in 2012, and Act 75 enacted in 2013 made major changes to the PA UC Law. This presentation explains these changes and their effect on claimants and employers. Attendees are also encouraged to bring actual claim issues they are experiencing for assistance.
Hilton G. Hill has been an employee of the PA Department of Labor and Industry under the branch of Unemployment Compensation for over 20 years. Hilton has extensive experience with UC issues. His initial position was that of a UC Interviewer which led to his being promoted to a UC Examiner. As a UC Interviewer and UC Examiner Hilton has been called upon to represent UC as a part of the Rapid Response Team during times of mass layoffs or short term layoffs.
Hilton currently serves as the Workforce Development Representative and acts as the liaison between the PA Careerlinks and the UC Service Center to assist employers and claimants with their UC and Reemployment Issues. Hilton serves Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties.
Dinner will be served buffet style and will include salad, Oven Roasted Chicken, Seared Beef Tips, Olive Oil Pan-Seared Salmon, seasonal vegetables, dessert and coffee. If you have special dietary needs, please contact Kelly Jo at vicepresident@sepaapa.org.
Please remember that if your membership is due for renewal, you must first renew your membership online before you will be able to register at the member rate. Membership renewal is located in the Membership section of the SEPA website.
Registration for this event will close as of May 12, 2014 or earlier if registration reaches room capacity. Walk-ins cannot be guaranteed a seat and will only be allowed into the event at the chapter's discretion based on available accommodations.
